I planned to repost it here, but the tracklisting felt incomplete.

That was pre-Aida and many of my favorite songs were missing.

Mariah is my all-time favorite diva.

She has been since Vision of Love.

One thing I admire about Mariah is that she loves

her remixes and she respects the remixer.

Most of her singles have been reinvented

into hip hop and house tracks.

Often times she'll re-sing the vocals to fit the track,

instead of the other way around.

This is generally unheard of and

Mariah is the only pop star who does it.

It's no secret that her favorite DJ/Producer is David Morales.

Their story starts with his iconic mix of

Dreamlover and continues today.

I've been wanting to put this collection together for years

but never quite knew how to approach it.

I love so many of her remixes.

Most of my favorites are lesser known songs and dubs,

but I couldn't ignore the colossal hits

that made her a club goddess.

I think I've finally created an explosive set that

showcases the best of both worlds.

So it is with great pleasure that I present to you,

a collection of my obsession.

What a great time for pop music.
Christina was beautiful, Whitney was declaring her love,
and Celine was trying to creep into people's windows!
This mix starts out with one screaming diva

and ends with another,
but the tracks in between are all dark and sexy.
This is one of my favorite collections.
It reminds me of a time when I felt complete freedom.
I spent every weekend clubbing with my friends.
I felt at home there, dancing under the flashing lights,
surrounded by the smiling faces of complete strangers.
I listen to this now when I need a little inspiration,
when I need to turn fantasy into reality.

This is a special mix for me. I made it a long time ago.

Each song takes me back to a time when

I was just discovering NYC club life.

Roxy was the place to be

and Peter Rauhofer was the man to hear.

He showed me what dance music really is

and how it's supposed to sound.

I taught myself how to mix records,

but Peter taught how to create a mood.

I put my heart into this mix. I tinkered with it for over a year.

Adding tracks and taking them away.

Dropping vocals and beats, here and there.

Developing a message.

This mix was the student mimicking the teacher,

and I'm forever grateful for what I've learned

and how far I've come.
